Playing Catch-Up
My sweet Lukie-boy!
I have neglected to keep up to date on Luke's monthly well-check-ups with the doctor... so I am going to try my best to be better about it.
His 4 month appointment went really well. The doctor said he was growing beautifully and his percentiles definitely proved it!
He is still the sweetest baby, such a dream to put down for naps and to bed at night. He still wakes up to feed at least once a night (he's got to to keep his manly thickness going strong!), but he falls right back to sleep with no fuss.
He loves almost everything Aubrie says or does... he constantly lights up and smiles his biggest gummy grin when he sees her. He gets scared when she screams (she squeals with excitement a lot!)!!
He has become our roly poly lately. He loves to roll from his back to his belly and is still trying to perfect rolling back onto his back... he is getting there though!
Still loves his binky.
Wears size 4 diapers.
Wears 9 months size in most clothes... depending on the brand I guess. Mostly 9 months if we want him to be comfortable which is pretty much always.
As of Thursday my poor boy has had 3 ear infections in his short life thus far!!!!!!!! The first was when he and Aubrie got colds a few months ago. Then while my mom was just in town 2 weeks ago, he was treated for a legitimate ear infection in his left ear. He was prescribed Amoxycillin again and was on that for 10 days, and then about a day or so after he finished off the bottle he started having cold symptoms again. I took him in on Thursday and we got to see a great doctor who helped us get loads of wax out of the depths of his ears and then told us that Luke had the start of a new ear infection in his right ear. After asking if Aubrie had ear infections as a baby and if Aaron or I had them and my response was NO for all of us he said it was just a case of bad luck! So SAD! He said that if he continued to get them that we would have to think about getting him tubes in his ears! I hope it doesn't have to come down to that! He was prescribed Augmentin this time. We also have him on a probiotic so that his tummy doesn't get upset with the strength of the antibiotic he is on! Hopefully this cures his ear infections! He has been such a sweet boy through it all.
Luke is all smiles all the time and such a treat to be around!
I feel like the luckiest mom!
Luke's 4 month stats:
Weight: 17 lbs. 10 oz. (94%) Height: 25 inches (65%) Head Circumference: 16 3/4 in (75%)
When I took him in for his ear infection 2 weeks ago he weighed 18.5 lbs.
When I took him in this past Thursday he weighed 19 lbs.
He's gaining weight... no problem in that department! Ha! :)
His 6 month appointment is coming up on the 12th so I will give you those stats then.
