The daddy of this house turned 30 on April 10th!
It's funny how as we grow older the numbers don't sound so big/old anymore... ha!
Since Aaron's birthday was on a Sunday we had to celebrate before church a little and then after, and since there wasn't much to go out and do... we ate and ate and ate.
His BIG homemade card... and some presents.
When we got home from church we ate some teriyaki chicken bowls and put the kiddos down for naps. I started making dinner and when Aubs woke up she FINALLY got to make the highly anticipated birthday cake that she had been talking about for weeks. Aaron was excited to make another cake with her (after they had so much fun making mine together!).
She wasn't too happy about waiting for the cake to bake, but it was totally worth it because she got to ice and decorate!
When we were at Target a few days before Aaron's birthday Aubrie saw these Easter bunny marshmallows and insisted that we buy them to decorate Daddy's cake with. She literally talked about it for days after we bought them... she couldn't wait to use them!
Aaron decided on a very very thin layer of icing because he isn't a fan of the sweetness (hence th efact that you can see cake through the icing... and then he let Aubs go crazy with her bad self on the marshmallows!
We ate delicious skillet baked ziti for dinner and then we sang happy birthday and ate some cake!
