Our flight back to DFW

We got to McCarran Airport with not too much time to be at our gate (Aaron was moving our BBQ from our rental home out for the next renter- driving time was killer) so we rushed and ran through everything we could and we got to the gate, sat down and looked out the window and it started raining. It. was. so. weird.  This was such a HOT HOT trip- I can't express that enough- no sign of any weather for the ENTIRE 2 weeks that we were there and all of a sudden we were at the airport and it started to thunder, lightning and pour down rain.

Our tired girl- it was waaaay past her bedtime.
 And... a VERY tired boy!
The rain... this picture stinks but the rain was insane looking- for Vegas, that is! The flight attendant kept coming on the microphone saying that due to lightning being within 5 miles of the airport they were unable to unload any planes or do anything. Two hours later we were still sitting there waiting and they finally let the poor people waiting on the runways get off their planes.  A little bit after that the rain let up and we were finally able to board.  We got into TX around 2 am. It was madness- especially since we wanted to get up early and do something the next day for the 4th of July.  That didn't happen.

As always, we were sad to leave our families and can't wait to be able to visit again.  It was a great trip.

I will update with posts on the most recent happenings, including the 4th of July, our move, Aaron's trips (AAO in Chicago & High Adventure to Arkansas), Aubrie's birthday, and Luke's 9 month stats.  How is my baby boy 9 months??!!!!
